Question
Is it ok to play videogames on a brand new HD LCDTV?
Ive heard when you play PS on a brand new LCDTV the tvs screen start freezing and stuff like that, I dont know if these are rumors or realities. Please tell me if I can play it or not.
Answer
The problem youre probably thinking about is the lag or delay caused by changing the resolution to display the picture.brbrIn HDTVs, the resolution is much higher than what CRT tvs ever displayed, and what Playstation was ever designed for. What this means is that the signal will have to be converted, and this can cause some lag from input to display. brbrFor instance. If you press the jump button, you may have to wait a few seconds until you see it happen on the screen.brbrLCDs with low response times ms ms really shouldnt make a difference. Also, som LCDs have quotgame modesquot that reduce that signal upgrade, displaying a less clear picture, but reducing lag in the process.brbrOther than that problem, there is no other problems you should be worrying about. It shouldnt cause any permanent? damage to your LCD or any at all for that matter, so go play and enjoy.
