Is it possible to have the internet without a phone line?

Is it possible to have the internet without a phone line?
I am moving into a new house and there is no phone line. I am sure that I either read in a newspaper or saw on TV that you can get something that goes on your computer to use the interent without needing a phone line.

Yeah there is virgin media broadband that just comes into the house with its own cable, there is also mobile broadband from , orange, vodafone, tmobile, o and so on. Just go into one of their shops and they can sort you out with one, on contract or pay as you go apart from orange on pay go. I used and orange mobile broadband and they were very good, the orange one was better though.
